The summary statistics are entered directly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is used in three specific situations: a supplier report that provides only the mean and standard deviation, a publication whose conclusion you want to verify, and a verification calculation before running a test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Three tabs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Quantitative<\/strong>\u00a0: Enter the following for each sample:\u00a0<strong>size (n)<\/strong>, the\u00a0<strong>average<\/strong>\u00a0and the\u2019<strong>standard deviation (sd)<\/strong>. Choosing it after determining the direction of the spread doubles the alpha risk.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the \"Independence\" tab, Ellistat selects the appropriate method based on the sample sizes and displays it: *n=1: exact binomial, n=2: Fisher's exact test, n\u22653: \u03c7\u00b2*. The validity of the \u03c7\u00b2 test is checked by the\u00a0<strong>Cochran's rule<\/strong>, in automatic mode, Ellistat groups items together as needed.
