This page takes the analysis a step further: it breaks Nevada down into zones<\/strong> and presents the results in the form of control charts<\/strong>, to detect deterioration before it becomes visible in the cumulative data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Diagonal Tracking (Lifespan)<\/strong> : tracks products of the same age. Answers the question, \u00abHas aging changed?\u00bb; ;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Tracking by Column (Seasonality of Returns)<\/strong> : Describes what happens during the same calendar period. Answers the question, \u00abDid anything happen that month?\u00bb; ;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Line-by-Line Tracking<\/strong> : Tracks each sales period separately. Answers the question, \u00abIs this batch different?\u00bb If you use the production date as a reference, you can track production quality!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    \ud83d\udca1 These three readings do not detect the same problems. A material defect in a batch is visible online<\/strong>. A harsh winter is evident in columns<\/strong>. Accelerated wear is evident diagonally<\/strong>. Looking at all three helps us avoid attributing to age what is actually a matter of the calendar.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

      The input accepts Sales \/ Return Dates<\/strong>, or the Production \/ Sale \/ Return Dates<\/strong>. This second form reconstructs two<\/strong> Nevada: one for production, one for sales for distinguish between aging in storage and aging in service<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \ud83d\udca1 This distinction is particularly important for slow-moving products: a product that ages in the warehouse and one that ages at the customer\u2019s location require different actions. Without production dates, the two situations are often confused.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

      \u26a0\ufe0f Ellistat reports the number of errors (returns < sales)<\/strong> : cases where the return date precedes the sale date. These are data entry errors that must be corrected, not ignored, because they distort the product lifespans.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

      The maps require a minimum amount of data: \u00abNo zones with at least 3 outliers\u00bb indicates that no \u03b2 can be estimated for the selected grid.
