A model predicts\u00a0ONE<\/strong>\u00a0Answer. Industrial reality requires several of them at once: maximizing strength\u00a0and<\/strong>minimize cycle time\u00a0and<\/strong>\u00a0Maintaining a target rating. That is the purpose of this page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • his\u00a0desirability parameters<\/strong>\u00a0: the thresholds that convert the response into a satisfaction score ranging from 0 to 1:\u00a0Worse<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Target<\/strong>\u00a0with a simple goal,\u00a0Worst Min \/ Target Min \/ Target Max \/ Worst Max<\/strong>\u00a0for a specific objective; ; <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • sound\u00a0Weight<\/strong>, which highlights its relative importance; ; <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • and reading the current point:\u00a0Prediction<\/strong>,\u00a0Measured<\/strong>,\u00a0Error %<\/strong>,\u00a0Desirability<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    The factor sliders move the working point, and all results are recalculated. The calculate button finds the\u2019global optimum<\/strong> : the point that maximizes overall desirability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Choose from three charts:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • the\u00a0desirability<\/strong>, <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • or a specific model.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      \ud83d\udca1 The\u00a0desirability<\/strong>\u00a0is the product of individual desirabilities. This multiplicative form is not merely a computational detail: it means that\u2019A response to 0 cancels everything<\/strong>. A setting that is excellent on four criteria but unacceptable on the fifth is rejected, which is exactly the desired behavior\u2014and something a weighted average does not do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \u26a0\ufe0f The optimal solution found is not\u00a0valid only within the data domain<\/strong>. The model readily extends its predictions beyond that point without indicating it.
