Ellistat, French designer and publisher of software solutions for industry, announces the creation of its American subsidiary in Chicago, under the management of Baptiste Mirat as CEO. Just five months after its operational launch, and thanks to the involvement of committed local players, the subsidiary has already completed four initial implementations in demanding industrial sectors, confirming the relevance of the solution APC in the face of growing demand for automation from American manufacturers.
A U.S. market in search of performance and return on investment
Ellistat is expanding into the United States in response to growing interest among local manufacturers in automation solutions with a high return on investment. Against a backdrop of increasing pressure on costs and deadlines, compounded by a structural shortage of manpower in production trades, American companies are looking for concrete, rapid and measurable gains, and are remarkably responsive when it comes to delivering results.
«The big difference with Europe is the team structure. Here, everyone is a specialist in his or her field, projects are well defined from the outset, and this is reflected in the speed of execution. Combined with the real pressure on production recruitment, this creates the ideal environment for our solution. ", explains Baptiste Mirat.
The fruit of more than fifteen years' research, APC (Automated Process Control) automates machine-tool settings and delivers lasting improvements in production quality, with measurable gains from the very first parts produced. The technology can be integrated directly into existing production environments, without major organizational disruption.
Marketed under the CLOOMA (Closed Loop Manufacturing) on the US market, the solution reduces scrap by up to 90 %, cuts set-up times by up to 75 %, and generates an estimated average productivity gain of around 25,000 $ per machine tool per year.
Five months after its launch, the subsidiary has already signed its first references in environments that are particularly demanding in terms of precision and quality compliance. These include Exalta, a MedTech equipment manufacturer, and an entity of the Seco Tools group, one of the world's leading manufacturers of cutting tools.
With ten years' experience in machining, including a VIE in the United States (2017-2019) and five years at Ellistat structuring sales development in France and Europe, Baptiste Mirat is piloting this development from Chicago. This is a project which began as early as 2023, and which he put into practice by taking over the management of Ellistat Inc. in the summer of 2025.
Clooma : A strategic location in Chicago
The Ellistat Inc. subsidiary is based in Chicago, targeting the Manufacturing Belt, the main industrial region of the Midwest and Great Lakes. This area concentrates a high density of players in the medical, automotive and precision engineering sectors. To steer this development, Ellistat relies on a tightly-knit, responsive team in the field, combining sales expertise with local technical support. More staff will be recruited in the coming months to keep pace with the company's growth.
Assumed pragmatism and the construction of an Ellistat ecosystem
Ellistat's strategy in the United States is based on pragmatism: establish a presence where there is a real demand, work with committed players in the field, and gradually build a coherent ecosystem around Ellistat solutions. Rather than seeking immediate maximum coverage, the company favors structuring industrial partnerships with software publishers, machine tool manufacturers and metrology specialists, who become the brand's natural relays in their territory and share the same demand for measurable results.
A first structuring agreement was signed with Visional Technology for development in Central America and the Caribbean. Well-established in the medical sector and specialized in measurement equipment, this company embodies Ellistat's strategy of relying on recognized local players to deploy its solutions rapidly and sustainably.
«In American industry, you don't make your mark from an office 8,000 kilometers away. What sets us apart from many other software players is that we stay by our customers» side long after the contract has been signed, in the workshop, in training, in the day-to-day work of their teams. It's this proximity that enables us to build a solid, lasting ecosystem, customer by customer, partner by partner. This is precisely why we opened a subsidiary in Chicago.», adds Baptiste Mirat.
