"With Data Analysis, you don't need to be a quality expert to analyze production data. Its ease of use enables technicians to better understand production processes and, above all, to optimize them." Davy Pillet, CEO Ellistat.

As an expert in industrial quality, Ellistat is constantly creating and improving its software solutions to make them even more effective, while remaining easy to use and accessible to all. The Data Analysis of its Quality Suite is a powerful data analysis software, now available online. This extremely simple, user-friendly, super-ergonomic solution, unrivalled on the market, enables data to be processed, visualized and interpreted in just 2 clicks. The aim: to better understand and control processes, improve decision-making, operational efficiency and competitiveness.

What to do with all this data?

According to Davy Pillet, CEO of Ellistat, data analysis is really the poor relation of quality. Manufacturers generate an enormous amount of data, but how do they exploit it?

How can we ensure that technicians in the field have a better grasp of the production process, understand why it doesn't always produce the same part, and identify critical parameters?

Of course, there's the know-how and experience of the operator, but that doesn't guarantee 100% efficiency. You can also retrieve data and export it to Excel, and make graphs, but analysis is not always straightforward. Improving business performance requires decisions based on facts and data.

Only data analysis software can make use of this data to find the cause of variations, and then make the right decisions to improve the process.

However, the software available on the market is very complicated to use and is therefore reserved for quality experts, who may have the theoretical expertise, but not necessarily the "business" expertise. What's more, this software is often cumbersome and has to be installed on the customer's site.

The Ellistat solution: when ease of use makes field technicians experts in quality

Data Analysis offers all the types of analysis found in conventional data analysis software, including R&R management, capability analysis, statistical testing, predictive model building, etc...

What sets the solution developed by Ellistat apart is its simplicity of use, enabling it to be used by field technicians (methods, quality, etc.). The software has been designed to be intuitive and to guide users in the choice of statistical tests and data analysis. In just two clicks, they discover what lies behind production data (e.g. variability of measurement elements, understanding dispersion, etc.) and are thus armed to make the right decisions.

Link with SPC and IQC modules strengthens Ellistat's Quality Suite

Coupled with data from Ellistat's SPC (Statistical Process Control) and IQC (Incoming Quality Control) modules, the Data Analysis module allows you to go even further, to access even more information.

With SPCWith the SPC module, all production data can be visualized simply and instantly. Measuring equipment connected directly to the SPC module provides real-time process monitoring. Coupled with SPC, the Data Analysis module enables you to trace the causes of variability (e.g. material batch, shift, etc.) and gain a better understanding of the process.

IQC enables you to guarantee supplier quality by automating incoming quality control. The software can accept or reject a batch of parts presented by an internal or external supplier. Coupled with Data Analysis, it is easy, for example, to compare suppliers according to the quality of the parts supplied, or to monitor and analyze the evolution of a supplier over time.

And Davy Pillet adds: " Data Analysis is a simple, intuitive tool for complex industrial processes. It will enable you to better understand and improve your processes, based on facts and not just on feelings (e.g. affinity with a supplier, business experience). Thanks to its ease of use, it will bring expertise to technicians in the field, who will be able to analyze relevant data and make the right decisions to improve processes. "

Easy to use and implement

Data Analysis is now available online. The software is based on a native "full web" architecture, the most obvious advantage of which is the ability to connect to the software from any terminal connected to the Internet, via a simple browser. The second advantage is the fluidity of navigation for users and the speed of response of the platform. It is supplied in Saas mode (software hosted by the publisher) or On-Premise mode (software installed directly on the customer's network).

Davy Pillet adds: " Online analysis software is more flexible, collaborative and scalable. They enable data to be processed in real time, without heavy infrastructure and with enhanced security.. "

To implement the solution, Ellistat offers its customers a support package. First of all, a diagnostic is carried out on the customer's site, to determine the best method for deploying the solution, then comes the preparation phase, to ensure precision during implementation. Finally, 3 or 4 days of on-site training are required.
