Based in Chambéry, Savoie, FYSOL is one of Europe's leading players in the fiberglass industry. Backed by decades of experience, the company stands out for its expertise in the manufacture of fiberglass, and in particular chopped yarns for the thermoplastic industry, with high quality and a wide range of products adapted to market needs.

FYSOL also manufactures high-performance glass (MHP), mainly used in the aeronautics industry. The Chambéry site has been producing fiberglass for over 50 years, and high-performance glass for the thermoplastics industry for over 40 years, thanks to skilled, experienced and passionate teams.

With a view to continuous improvement, in July 2024 FYSOL took a further step towards modernizing its quality management tools.

In July 2024, FYSOL initiated the replacement of its old SPC software, which had been in place for some ten years but had become unsuited to the quality team's current requirements. In addition, the Chambéry site is also looking to invest in statistical software to make full use of production data. The aim is to improve efficiency and facilitate data analysis.

After studying several solutions, including that of its historical publisher, FYSOL quickly chose Ellistat.

"With Ellistat, everything is modular and customizable, allowing us to have a tool perfectly aligned with our expectations. Unlike other software, here it's the software that adapts to us, not the other way around."says Bérengère Badin, Quality Engineer at FYSOL.

The new software brings immediate benefits to teams by eliminating non-value-added tasks and simplifying statistical analysis. Finally, the direct connection between SAP B1 ERP and Ellistat software enables certificates of conformity to be generated automatically for customers.

Deployment of the SPC module began in January 2025. The Ellistat team distinguished itself by its availability and ability to listen throughout the project.

Bérengère Badin insists on this point: ".Every request was taken seriously. The Ellistat team always sought to fully understand our challenges, so as to provide us with concrete, appropriate solutions. This fluid collaboration was a real asset in the successful implementation of the project.".

Unlike the old software, Ellistat is constantly evolving. "We see that new developments are still being made today, which will enable us to adapt the software to other specific cases in our company.."

All historical data was successfully migrated. Despite a significant change in habits, the field teams quickly adopted the new system. Technicians immediately perceived the added value of the new system. Today, more than 40 users in the workshop use the SPC solution on a daily basis.

"One point to note, which shows that the tool has been well received, is that several employees who did not use the old SPC tool have now asked us for Ellistat access so that they can consult the results directly in the software."adds Bérengère.
