Innovative E-Learning training pack

Reading time
Operator using Ellistat elearning

Ellistat, a designer and publisher renowned for its software solutions dedicated to the various stages of production, is presenting an innovative E-learning training pack.

Specially designed for industrial companies and accessible to everyone (from operators to engineers), this pack gives access, in the form of a licence, to more than 70 training modules on Six Sigma, Lean and quality-related tools. For the first time, the training courses are available on an unlimited basis. The aim is to train all employees to share a common culture of quality and operational excellence.

This E-Learning training pack will be presented to players in the world of high precision at the next EPHJ trade fair in Geneva from 6 to 9 June 2023, on the Ellistat stand G30. At the event, visitors will also be able to see demonstrations of recent developments in APC's flagship software solution for automating the correction process on machining centres, starting with the measurement of a single part.

Quality objective

A quality culture is essential for any industrial company. It leads to better control of production techniques and improved processes. Speaking the same language is essential within a company. This is why Ellistat proposes to improve the skills of all the employees in a company, and not just to train a few experts.

Its innovative e-learning Training Pack is designed in the form of floating licences. One licence gives simultaneous and unlimited access to all the Six Sigma, Lean and quality tools, i.e. more than 70 training modules, specifically developed for e-learning training.

Davy Pillet, CEO of Ellistat: " In practical terms, the Training Pack makes it very easy for a company to create personalised training programmes for different functions. Some customers use it to train new employees as soon as they join the company, so that everyone has a basic set of skills and speaks the same language".

An E-Learning training package offering great flexibility

Employees follow one or more training courses, depending on their needs and objectives. Everyone is free to progress at their own pace, according to their own schedule and in complete autonomy.

"Unlike face-to-face training, explains Davy PilletFor example, it is no longer necessary to reach a minimum number of ten people (for example) to launch a training course. You don't have to decide to train just the two or three people who are available, at full cost. With the Training Pack, we've also opted for profitability.

This innovative training package, offered at an ultra-competitive price, is designed for both small teams and large groups. Its multilingual availability helps to homogenise the quality culture within companies operating internationally.

A fun E-Learning training pack

When it comes to using the training modules, trainees appreciate the fun aspect and the immersive environment (a beer brewery) with voice-overs, exercises, animations and quizzes at each stage to check that they have understood what they have been taught.

From operators to engineers, our training courses are designed to be accessible to as many people as possible. Each module is animated and provides trainees with expert tools such as Ellistat data analysis software and industrial process simulators for practical application. These simulators enable trainees to see the relevance of their choices as they progress.

Davy Pillet added: " We have opted for an adapted teaching approach, focusing on the use of tools for immediate application. The simulators integrated into our e-learning training modules make it easier to understand, particularly for employees who are not necessarily at ease with quality tools because of a lack of practice.

Loïc Doubey, Head of Quality Development & Control Methods at one of our customers, explains: " An excellent e-learning training tool for a team of technicians and engineers in their integration cycle. The courses offered ensure a consistent level of skills directly linked to our customers' constantly evolving needs. The solution is easy to use and highly flexible, thanks in particular to an annual licence. "

APC méthode 4.0 on show at EPHJ

In addition to the innovative "Training Pack" presented at the EPHJ show, manufacturers will be able to attend demonstrations of recent developments in the APC -Automated Process Control- software solution, developed for over eleven years by Ellistat and marketed since 2017.

APC makes it possible to control the variability of production processes by automating the setting of machine tools, whatever the machine - turning, 3- to 5-axis and combined machining - and whatever the complexity of the part. Results: reduction in scrap rate of 90%, reduction in set-up time of 75% and average savings of around €20K per controlled machine tool per year. The solution takes into account all the dimensions and offsets of a process to calculate the best fit. Machine learning algorithms automatically calculate the offsets to be applied to the machine, based on the measurement of a part.

The latest developments to the APC solution involve the integration of 'method 4.0' for automatically sending corrections to machine tools. Over and above the initial objective of improving ergonomics, this development has shown that it has a direct impact on production quality. By eliminating the risks of variability and errors associated with dependence on the human factor, it has led to even greater improvements in OEE and scrap rates.
