The five design pages—Taguchi, XN, Sweep, Response Surface, and Fill—all have the same structure. You only need to understand it once.
At the top :
The tabs for existing plans and the plan form: its name, the trash can icon to delete it, and settings specific to that type.
On the left :
The table of factors. One row per factor; the columns depend on the type of design.

On the right :
The painting « Possible layouts for this configuration », with each shot having its own name and its quality as stars. Clicking on a row selects the design. The list shows only the designs that are actually compatible with your factors and interactions, which is why it changes when you add a factor.
Below :
Visit table of the design, one row per test. The cells are colored by level, making the balance of the design visible at a glance. Depending on the situation, three buttons appear there:
- Create the design of experiments : transfers the plan to a data grid, which takes the plan's name, and switches to the Grid view. This marks the transition to actual testing; ;
- Correlation matrix : on the Response Surface, Smart DOE, and Filling pages: the correlations between all model terms—effects, squares, and cross-products; ;
- D-Optimal : Opens the custom-built module (see § 10).
💡 The quality rated by stars Follows the resolution of the plan, with a penalty when the table is saturated with factors. Five stars indicate a complete plan or a resolution of V or higher; four stars, a resolution of IV; three stars or fewer, a resolution of III, which is all the more degraded the more factors the table contains. This is a quick sorting guide, not a verdict: a three-star table is perfectly sufficient for screening.
