This is a fundamental difference from a file stored on a server: a Data Analysis project is company data, and its visibility can be adjusted on a per-project basis.
A project is visible to you if any one of these three conditions is met:
- it says public : Everyone in the company has access to it; ;
- You created it : The creator always sees his projects; ;
- Your name appears in the authorized users : Named sharing.
💡 Named sharing and public mode serve different purposes.
– Public serves as a common repository: a database of material test results, a history of capabilities, etc., that everyone can access.
– Authorized Users is suitable for ongoing teamwork that you don't want to make public until it's complete. A project remains visible to its creator in any case: there's no risk of being locked out.
⚠️ The column blocked is a declarative indicator : It marks a project as locked, but technically it doesn't prevent anything from being done at this time. A project marked as locked can still be edited by those who have access to it. Use this as a team convention, not as a safeguard.
⚠️ This post is about the entire project, including grids. Grids are not split up individually: if a grid is not meant to be visible, it must be placed in a different project.
